Paul Jenny

Paul Jenny heads the University of Washington’s Office of Planning and Budgeting, responsible for planning and allocation of financial and physical resources to help the University fulfill its mission. Paul has deep experience in academic resource management and came to UW from UC Berkeley, where he served as Associate Vice Chancellor of Budget and Resource Planning. At Berkeley, he managed and directed the campus' budget, resource allocation and strategic planning processes. He also served as the lead in designing and implementing a new financial strategic plan. Paul worked at the University of Alaska, as associate director of budget and institutional research, from 2002 to 2004. He worked at the Brookings Institution from 1999 to 2002, first serving as director of operations of the Center for Public Policy Education and then director of budget.

Paul earned an MBA from Loyola University New Orleans (1999), where he was named G. Ralph Bryant Outstanding MBA student. He is also a Husky, with his BA in Economics from the UW in 1992.
